AHCJ Healthier Beat Fellowships
Need financial assistance to attend Health Journalism 2012, the national conference of the Association of Health Care Journalists?
Thanks to the Leona M. & Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust's generous support, AHCJ will be able to grant a number of professional fellowships for the conference in Atlanta.
These fellowships are aimed at daily beat reporters whose chief assignment is covering environment, business, education or government and are not members of AHCJ. As more newsroom reporters discover they need to cover health angles on non-health beats, the value of understanding health concepts becomes clear.
- all conference registration fees
- a year's membership in AHCJ (new or extended)
- up to four nights in the conference hotel (Wed.-Sat.)
- travel assistance will vary
The application deadline was March 1.
Note: Fellowships only include travel within the United States.
