AHCJ makes audio of CMS briefings available
For journalists unable to attend press briefings at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, AHCJ is posting audio recordings of the briefings as quickly as possible after each briefing. The organization is doing this in lieu of the agency posting its own recordings.
This began after CMS Administrator Seema Verma spoke to a limited "roundtable" of journalists, raising concerns about access to information.
Here are the briefings:
-
Aug. 15, 2019: Seema Verma sat down with 25 reporters to answer questions on anything reporters wanted to ask about. Topics ranged from Medicaid work requirements to Medicare for All and hospital transparency.
-
Nov. 27, 2018: Seema Verma's remarks from "The new Medicare physician payment regulation: What does it mean for physicians and patients?" [Video will be available here.]
-
June 26, 2018: CMS announces initiatives intended to improve oversight of Medicaid
-
June 4, 2018: CMS releases new Scorecard
-
