Eric J. Topol, M.D., is director of the Scripps Translational Science Institute, Chief Academic Officer of Scripps Health, a professor of Genomics at The Scripps Research Institute and editor-in-chief at Medscape.

Topol, who works on genomic and wireless digital innovative technologies to reshape medicine, was voted the most influential physician executive in the United States in 2012 in a national poll conducted by Modern Healthcare.
