The Private Healthcare Exchanges conference July 16-17 in Chicago will focus on how the Affordable Care Act is changing the way insurers sell health insurance.

The American Podiatric Medical Association is holding its 100th Annual Scientific Meeting. Scheduled speakers include U.S. Surgeon General Regina M. Benjamin, M.D., M.B.A.; speaker/comedian David Glickman; and dozens of expert podiatrists in the fields of diabetes care, foot and ankle surgery, barefoot running, children’s foot health, and more. Nearly 2,000 member podiatrists, their families, exhibitors, and medical staff are registered to attend this premier foot and ankle conference.

This conference, expected to draw about 14,000 scientists, will feature topics ranging from chemistry’s role in establishing the innocence of people wrongly convicted of murder to a spray-on coating to keep America’s favorite fresh fruit (that’s the banana) from ripening so quickly.
