The National Academy for State Health Policy is holding its 34th annual state health policy conference in September. NASHP is a nonpartisan forum of state policymakers that conducts policy analyses and research; disseminates information on state policies and programs; and provides technical assistance to states.
This online course is for journalists who are new to data journalism. In four, 1.5–hour workshops, participants will learn what data is available, how to find it, retrieve it, and find facts and patterns in it that will lead to stories. These are hands-on, screen–sharing workshops with regular Q&As, and participants are expected to contribute. Available to journalists worldwide, although journalists in the U.S. will have to get up early. The sessions are not recorded.
