Deadline to apply: AHCJ Regional Health Journalism Fellowship: Mountain states

Through our Center for Excellence in Health Care Journalism, this program selects a small number of journalists annually from a specific region of the country for this special opportunity.

The 2018-19 fellowship class will come from Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico.

The aim of the program is to provide established journalists with the tools needed to improve the depth and amount of coverage focused on localizing critical health issues. The program is designed by journalists for journalists. Although the training is spread over a year’s time, actual time away from the newsroom totals just a couple of weeks.

The application deadline is June 1.
