Health and wellness covers a broad range of campus-wide issues and changing landscapes. Topics covered at the summit that tap into participants’ expertise range from policy and benefits development, strategic planning, leadership and constituent engagement to the development, implementation and evaluation of innovative wellness activities. Organizers say this will include comprehensive, evidence-based practices on faculty & staff wellness, student wellness, academic medical centers, and wellness innovation.
Sessions at the conference are expected to address science, policy and practice related to dental public health, including health care reform, fluoridation, partnerships, workforce expansion, access to care, education and advocacy efforts and technology.
Former California Medicaid Director Stan Rosenstein, the Kaiser Family Foundation’s Larry Levitt, and workforce expert Susan Chapman will address the complex issues that California faces this year leading up to major 2014 health law changes.
