Private Healthcare Exchanges Conference

The Private Healthcare Exchanges conference July 16-17 in Chicago will focus on how the Affordable Care Act is changing the way insurers sell health insurance.

CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices Meeting

The agenda will include agency updates and routine discussion on vaccines for pneumococcal infection, Haemophilus influenzae b (Hib), Japanese encephalitis, and pertussis. The committee will vote on recommendations on the use of PCV13 (pneumococcal conjugate vaccine) in children aged 6–18 years with immune-compromising conditions; use of the Hib vaccine; and coverage for both under the Vaccines for Children program for those who are eligible to receive free vaccine under this program. The committee also will vote on proposed influenza vaccine recommendations for the 2013–14 flu season.
