The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is accepting submissions for the 2027 AACR June L. Biedler Prize for Cancer Journalism, a $5,000 cash award that recognizes professional journalists who have produced accurate, informative, and compelling stories that enhance the public’s understanding of cancer, cancer research, cancer advocacy, or cancer policy. The prize is open to print, broadcast, and online journalists whose stories appear in outlets that target a lay public audience.

To be eligible for the 2027 AACR June L. Biedler Prize for Cancer Journalism, submissions must have been published or broadcast for the first time between December 1, 2025, and November 30, 2026. Additional eligibility requirements are outlined under Application Instructions on the AACR website.

Recipients will be recognized during the AACR Annual Meeting 2027 in Orlando, April 2-7.
