Child Lives Map
The Pulitzer Center’s interactive map shows child mortality numbers around the world.

Gapminder
Gapminder offers statistical analysis on population dynamics, socioeconomic issues, and world distribution of wealth and health. 

Global Health Atlas (PBS)
This interactive atlas enables exploration of disease distribution and socioeconomic indicators of health.

The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation
KFF offers webcasts and data analysis on global health campaigns and policy.

The Earth Institute at Columbia University
Global health is one of EI’s nine research areas, and it focuses on how environmental factors affect health. 

Map Gallery: Global Health Observatory (WHO)
The GHO map gallery features an extensive list of maps on major global health topics.  

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP): Human Development Reports
These reports focus development, disparities, and socioeconomic indicators. 

The World Bank: Human Resources for Health
The World Banks helps countries analyze human resources to build healthcare capacity and improve knowledge, skills, and motivation for health workers.

Global health organizations and campaigns

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
This foundation funds programs and research in multiple areas of global health and development. 

Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres
MSF provides independent, impartial assistance in more than 60 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe.

GAVI Alliance 
GAVI works to increase access to immunizations and provides information on the status of various immunization campaigns worldwide.

Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases
GACD funds research and projects focusing on global chronic diseases.

The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria  The Global Fund works with various public and private partners worldwide to prevent the spread of AIDS, TB, and malaria, funding programs for research, prevention, and treatment. 

Global Health Workforce Alliance (WHO)
This subset of the World Health Organization addresses the chronic shortage of health workers and provides information on associated issues. 

International Council of Nurses
ICN works to ensure quality nursing care, sound health policies globally, the advancement of nursing knowledge, and the worldwide presence of a respected nursing profession and a competent and satisfied nursing workforce. 

The International Women’s Health Coalition
The IHWC works to advance the health and rights of women and girls around the world, and releases informative reports on various women’s health issues.

Partners In Health (PIH)
This goal of this organization, headed by Dr. Paul Farmer, is to improve health care options for the poor in developing nations around the world. 

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)
UNFPA works with governments and agencies to ensure improvements in maternal and child health, access to reproductive health care and family planning, and other areas of population health. 

World Health Organization
WHO is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system, and this website is a good place to start if looking for general information from the WHO.

This volunteer-run resource provides news and commentary related to global health. 

International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies: News and Media
This page features news, social media, opinion, and press releases on IFRC campaigns around the world. 

Red Crescent
