AHCJ, with support from Episcopal Health Foundation, St. David’s Foundation, Methodist Healthcare Ministries, and Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute, provides financial assistance to a limited number of journalists who wish to attend AHCJ’s annual conference.

Fellowships are open to full-time Texas print, broadcast and online journalists and part-timers or freelancers who derive the majority of their income from journalism.

Fellowships include:

  • Conference registration
  • One year’s membership in AHCJ (new or extended)
  • Up to three nights hotel (Thurs.-Sat.)
  • Travel assistance within the continental U.S.
    • We budget approximately $500 for an economy flight and ground transportation. If selected as a fellow and $500 is not sufficient to travel to New York City, please contact Susan Cunningham, AHCJ’s event manager, at susan@healthjournalism.org prior to booking.
