American Cities Health Journalism Fellowship

AHCJ, with support of the Kresge Foundation, provides financial assistance to a limited number of journalists who wish to attend AHCJ’s annual conference. Fellowships are open to full-time print, broadcast and online journalists and part-timers or freelancers who derive the majority of their income from journalism AND are based in Detroit, Memphis, New Orleans or Fresno.

Fellowship includes:

  • Conference registration
  • One year’s membership in AHCJ (new or extended)
  • Up to three nights hotel (Thurs.-Sat.)
  • Travel assistance within the continental U.S.
    • We budget approximately $500 for an economy flight and ground transportation. If selected as a fellow and $500 is not sufficient to travel to New York City, please contact Susan Cunningham, AHCJ’s event manager, at susan@healthjournalism.org prior to booking.
