The Association of Health Care Journalists will hold its annual Health Journalism Conference from June 6-9, 2024, bringing together hundreds of journalists across the U.S. in midtown New York City.

“New York City is home to some of the greatest advances in medical science and public health — and also some of the finest journalism ever produced. Both were on full display during the darkest days of the pandemic,” said Felice J. Freyer, AHCJ board president. “As a native New Yorker, I’m thrilled that AHCJ is bringing the biggest conversations in health journalism to the city where it’s all happening.”

Join us for an unparalleled event as we bring together journalists, health care professionals, policymakers and experts from various fields to explore and discuss the latest trends, challenges and innovations in health journalism.

HJ24 will feature a dynamic lineup of keynote speakers, interactive workshops, field trips, panel discussions and networking opportunities, providing a platform for attendees to deepen their understanding of crucial health issues and enhance their reporting skills.

“We are thrilled to bring Health Journalism 2024 to the city where so many of our members live and work,” said Kelsey Ryan, AHCJ executive director. “New York City’s bustling atmosphere and the concentration of experts make it the perfect hub for health journalists to gather, connect and exchange ideas.”

This year’s gathering will include the 20th annual Awards for Excellence in Health Care Journalism.
