The Cancer Debate: Should Early Tumors be Called Something Other Than The ‘Big C’

There is an epidemic of overdiagnosis and overtreatment in medicine, resulting in patients experiencing unnecessary, costly and potentially harmful side effects. Some experts are suggesting that renaming early cancers something less scary than the “Big C” could prevent overdiagnosis and overtreatment.
