Senior Planet: Aging With Attitude

A first-of-its-kind tech focused senior center recently opened in Manhattan, proving that older adults are just as eager and capable of learning about computers, digital devices, and social media as anyone else. We meet several of the center’s “students,” who find they get much more out of the community center than just technical proficiency. We also hear from Tom Kamber, executive director OATS – Older Adults Technology Services, who founded Senior Planet. Kamber cites several studies reaffirming that seniors are more than capable of mastering technology, and discusses the importance of having a place and a means for seniors to connect, for their emotional, social and mental well-being.
