“Heroin: Overdose of Reality” was a three-part series exploring the rapid increase in heroin use, addiction and overdose deaths in The Times’ coverage area. The stories focused on the problem of heroin abuse and overdoses locally; the toll of heroin use on individuals and the community; and the role of law enforcement in combating the drug problem.
