Senate committee holds health care reform hearing

Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mt.) and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) are holding the second of three conversations on reforming health care. CSPAN is streaming the hearing.

More than a dozen representatives from The Heritage Foundation, AARP, Families USA, the Kaiser Foundation, America’s Health Insurance plan and other organizations are expected to offer their opinions on how best to expand health care coverage & programs.

    SINGLE PAYER MUST BE AT THE TABLE. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DEMAND THAT SINGLE PAYER BE AT THE TABLE. UNITED STATE CITIZENS WANT SINGLE PAYER AT THE TABLE NOW. PUT SINGLE PAYER REPS AT THE TABLE. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DEMAND IT.

    The Single-payer system is the only one that will really rein in the obscene cost of health care in the USA. Any other plan is simply window dressing that may, or may not. lower the cost minimally. It is time we joined the enlightened governments that were wise enough to change to that system and learn from them.
