Data Commons synthesizes a single graph, map or plot from different data sources. It links references to the same entities (such as cities, counties, states, etc.) across different datasets so that users can access data about a particular entity based on publicly available datasets from sources like census.gov, the CDC, data.gov, etc.

Users can create timelines, maps, scatter plots, places of data based on multiple variables, including health status, chronic diseases, housing, income, etc. It’s a fun reporting tool that offers many different variables to explore. You can create charts or graphs for your favorite city, ZIP code, county, state or country, or see how one data set might overlap or diverge.
