Timeline
May 1: Candidacy statements accepted
May 14: Statements begin appearing online
May 21, noon CT: Deadline to declare
June 4-15: Voting for candidates
July 1: Board takes office
Six of the 12 director positions come up for election each year for two-year terms. Incumbent board members are allowed to run for re-election.
AHCJ members in the professional category received an email on June 4 with a link allowing them to vote online. The election will be conducted June 4-15 via the internet.
If you are a professional category member of AHCJ and haven’t yet voted in the 2018 board elections, check your email for a ballot from info@healthjournalism.org. The electronic polling closes Friday at noon central time.
