The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine holds a workshop on addressing obesity by looking at physical surroundings. The workshop, entitled “Advancing Obesity Solutions through Investments in the Built Environment,” will discuss how urban planning and design, transportation systems, parks and recreation and food systems all impact people’s wellness and weight. Seating is limited for the day-long event, hosted by the Academies’ Roundtable on Obesity Solutions.
