The National Council for Behavioral Health, and the Community Oriented Correctional Health Services hold a day-long conference in Washington, D.C. “to discuss how mass incarceration of people with mental health and substance use problems.”
Speakers will include Roy Austin, a presidential adviser in the Office of Urban Affairs, Justice and Opportunity, as well as Republican Senator Roy Blunt of Missouri and Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow of Michigan, who have backed legislation addressing mental health issues.
