Families USA and Consumers Union will brief the media on health insurance rate review and the need for greater transparency before rates become final.
Ahead of the briefing, both Families USA and Consumers Union offer resources on rate review for journalists. During the briefing, speakers address the purpose, goal and importance of rate review; how rate review varies among the states; what makes for a strong state review authority; consumers’ and the federal government’s roles in rate review.
