Hepatitis C: Cost, Cure and Challenge

Rhode Island Public Radio, Rhode Island Public Health Institute, and the Brown University School of Public Health will host a panel discussion online and at the Friedman Auditorium at Brown.

Experts will discuss the costs and public health opportunities of treating, screening for, and curing patients with hepatitis C. Kristin Gourlay, health care reporter for Rhode Island Public Radio, will moderate the discussion. Members of the panel:

  • Michael Poshkus, MD, of the Thundermist Health Center
  • Amy Nunn, ScD, executive director, of the Rhode Island Public Health Institute;
  • Thomas Sepe, MD, director of the Liver Center at University Gastroenterology
  • Thomas Stopka, PhD, assistant professor of public health and community medicine at the Tufts University School of Medicine
  • Lynn Taylor, MD, of RI Defeats Hep C
