The Alliance for Health Reform will host a briefing for journalists, 8:30-10 a.m. ET at the National Press Club, on network adequacy.
As more health insurers use narrow networks and exclusive networks to control costs, consumers have become concerned about whether their physicians and hospitals of choice will participate in the networks they choose.
Addressing the briefing will be Joel Ario, managing director at Manatt Health Solutions and former director of the HHS Office of Health Insurance Exchanges; Michael Chernew, Leonard D. Schaeffer Professor of Health Care Policy at Harvard Medical School; and Ted Nickel, Wisconsin insurance commissioner.
RSVP to Marilyn Serafini at mserafini@allhealth.org or 202-789-2300.
For reporters outside Washington, D.C.
On-air: The briefing will air live on C-SPAN 2 at 8:30 a.m. ET.
