This Institute of Medicine Roundtable on Health Literacy workshop will feature the presentation of a commissioned paper on health literacy activities underway in public health organizations. Other presentations will examine the implications of health literacy for the mission and essential services of public health. 

Agenda: 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

  • Panel: Health Literacy and Public Health
    This presentation will highlight areas where there is beneficial overlap between health literacy and public health, and explore the implications of health literacy for effective public health interventions.
