The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation will hold its Annual Scientific Symposium on May 13 at the New York Academy of Medicine (1216 Fifth Avenue at 103rd Street). The Symposium is part of a two-day meeting in which funded investigators from all over the world convene to present their research findings before the SWCRF Scientific Advisory Board. The Scientific Symposium and Reception will be held from 5 to 7:30 pm. The press is invited to attend. (See RSVP information below).
The Symposium is an opportunity to meet SWCRF-funded scientists and to hear about the progress they are making in their research. About 50 scientists, working across multiple disciplines, will attend. The investigators work collaboratively in specific areas of cancer, including breast, brain, colon and liver cancer, as well as in melanoma, stem cells and developing epigenetic therapy.
