Bi-partisan panel takes on implementing health care reform

Passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2009 was only the beginning. Implementation poses continuing challenges. States are getting into the discussions. So are the courts. And as active debate continues on how to implement the law, some are working to change the law. Only one thing is clear: the next steps for health care reform are far from certain.

During “The Future of Healthcare Reform” policy panel keynote luncheon at the 2011 BIO International Convention, former U.S. Sen. Tom Daschle, former Democratic National Committee Chair Howard Dean, Republican political strategist Karl Rove, and U.S. Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) will debate the challenges and opportunities associated with implementing the act, as well as efforts to repeal and reform the law.
