The International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment Programs (ICAP) at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism are co-sponsoring a panel discussion on global public health risk communication, which will focus on lessons from the H1N1 influenza pandemic. The event will include Richard Besser, who will discuss his experiences during the initial H1N1 outbreak in spring 2009 when he was the CDC Acting Director. The event will include presentations and a panel of public health and journalism experts who will answer questions.
