Early childhood advocacy group Zero to Three holds its annual conference in Denver. The keynote speaker will be Former U.S. Secretary of Education John King, now head of the nonprofit The Education Trust. Other speakers include representative of the University of Colorado School of Medicine; the National Foundation to End Child Abuse and Neglect (EndCAN); the University of Southern California, Los Angeles; the University of Oregon; the Bezos Family Foundation; and Zero to Three. Sessions will address a range of issues from family-focused treatment in the opioid crisis and maternal mental health care to mindfulness and trauma care. Panels will also tackle Medicaid, the 2020 U.S. Census, primary care screening for ACEs and social determinants of health, racial equity in education, and more.
