Reporting on Alzheimer’s research has never been more challenging. The stories are compelling but complex, and new findings are reported almost daily. But making sense of it all is another thing. This special event will cover the latest reporting on the search for ways to treat or prevent Alzheimer’s.

The Alzheimer’s Disease Research Summit 2015: Path to Treatment and Prevention offers reporters a varied and intriguing agenda of presentations and panels led by internationally renowned researchers. Your time is precious, but if you turn up or tune in, you will gain new perspective and insights into such emerging topics as:

  • Deconstructing the complexity of Alzheimer’s disease

  • Harnessing the power of Big Data in basic Alzheimer’s research

  • Understanding the role of gender in risk for Alzheimer’s

  • Transforming one-target, one-drug development by looking at networks of targets, drug repositioning and combination therapies

  • Engaging and empowering people to participate in the full spectrum of Alzheimer’s research

Whether you are interested in the big picture or want to focus in on a specific aspect of Alzheimer’s research, the Summit offers a novel opportunity to speak with leading researchers. Just reach out, and we will make that connection for you before or during the Summit.

The Summit is convened by the National Institute on Aging at NIH and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, with private support through the Foundation for the NIH.

  • Dr. Richard Hodes, Director, National Institute on Aging (NIA), NIH

  • Dr. Neil Buckholtz, Director, NIA Division of Neuroscience, NIH
