The 64th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Neurology is set for April 21 through 28, 2012, in New Orleans. The AAN Annual Meeting will feature more than 2,000 scientific research presentations and key lectures on the latest advancements in the prevention and treatment of brain disorders.

The AAN Annual Meeting features Education, Subspecialty in Focus, Science, Practice, Physician Leadership Program, Scientific Program and a variety of sessions and opportunities for professionals, researchers and students. While the contents of the sessions will continue to be cutting-edge, the debate-style Controversies in Neuroscience Session will be paired with a questions-and-answers debate in five hot topic areas, including ALS, carotid stenting vs. surgery, Alzheimer disease biomarkers, autism and Tourette therapy, and child neurology training. Ten Integrated Neuroscience Sessions (INS) will feature expert faculty and top researchers presenting insightful, comprehensive examinations of movement disorders, aging, ALS, cell biology, stem cell groups, epilepsy, child neurology, peripheral nerves, and neurogenetics.
