The National Center for Health Statistics is expected to release a report on health characteristics of American adults 55 and over, based on data from the 2004 to 2007 National Health Interview Surveys. According to the release, "Findings show that fair or poor health status, selected chronic health conditions, difficulties with physical or social impairments, health care access and utilization, and adoption of health behaviors increased with advancing age."
