The National Center for Health Statistics is expected to release data on births in the United States, including state-based and national information on teen births, unmarried births, multiple births, maternal and infant health data such as prenatal care, smoking during pregnancy, cesarean deliveries, and other indicators, by detailed age groups, state, race, ethnicity and gender. Based on data from birth certificates filed in state vital statistics offices and reported to NCHS through the National Vital Statistics System.
