Atul Gawande, New Yorker magazine columnist and Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School will speak about "Ignorance vs. Ineptitude: Science and the Causes of Failure in Medicine" as part of the NIH Director's 2008-2009 Wednesday Afternoon Lecture Series.
