This report describes demographic differences and recent trends in food allergy in U.S. children. Information on co-existing conditions, such as asthma, and trends in hospitalizations are also reported. Data come from the National Health Interview Survey and the National Hospital Discharge Survey. The report, "Food Allergy Among U.S. Children: Trends in Prevalence and Hospitalizations," is embargoed until 8 a.m. EST on Oct. 22.
