This report is the comprehensive annual report on mortality in the U.S., a follow-up to the preliminary report and the much shorter Health E-stat version. Data looks at maternal and infant mortality, life expectancy, and leading causes of death by age, race and sex and also includes data by state. Data come from all 50 states as part of the National Vital Statistics System.
