Health Improvement Institute's 2007 Workshop: Quality of Health Information on the Internet will provide a forum in which experts, representatives of diverse organizations, and consumers can discuss issues regarding health information on the Internet. The workshop is intended to stimulate exploration of ideas and to create a framework to facilitate policy decision making. Presentations by experts will start the workshop to set the scene for small work group discussions that will follow.

Work group discussion topics are:

  • What do consumers want & will use – Do consumers care about the quality of health information?
  • Future of trust marks, ratings, & consumer feedback – Are trust marks dead?
  • Information for consumers to make health care decisions – Will consumerism save the system?
  • Gathering evidence and improving research – Does evidence make a difference?

The Health Improvement Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality and productivity of America's health care.
