Lisa Zamosky’s 2013 Body of Work

It’s great to have a steady voice like Lisa Zamosky guiding readers through all the craziness around health insurance headlines this year. She’s giving readers the most important information for them: what they need to help make wise decisions about health insurance. She simplifies a complex subject. She states it plainly and backs it up with outside information. She shows how it impacts them and offers action items. Lisa did this in multiple ways this year on WebMD: through her Health Insurance 101 blog, through news stories, and by answering reader questions in live events and on WebMD Answers. Lisa often used the questions she received in those live events to shape her coverage. She wrote the blog post about income, for instance, because it was one of the most frequently asked questions at our health insurance live events. Of course, much of Lisa’s focus this year was on the Affordable Care Act. She guided readers with skill on topics such as choosing a health plan and understanding their cancelled policies. She also continued to keep on top of other insurance trends, such as changing rules about flexible spending accounts and Medicare. We all know how confusing health insurance can be. Lisa is dedicated to making it less confusing, in everything she does.
