Our story takes a look at senior citizens in America’s fastest-growing population segment and how they are living longer and looking for ways to grow old gracefully in their own homes. According to an Angie’s List online poll, 28 percent of respondents are caring for an elderly family member and 52 percent of those caregivers are looking for ways to help with loved ones home maintenance and daily chores. An additional 14 percent are elderly themselves and need help with daily chores and home maintenance. In addition to examining the trend toward aging in place, our story also details the many options available for those who may need elder care now or in the future and provides warning signs and steps for seeking help.
