Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) is a condition where a person’s arteries narrow and result in reduced blood flow to the limbs. A risk calculator commonly used by clinicians that estimates the risk of a person between the ages of 40 and 79 developing ASCVD over a 10-year period, based on their age, cholesterol, race, and other factors.
