Rhode Island Health Journalism Fellowship Logo

AHCJ, with the support of the Rhode Island Foundation, provides financial assistance to journalists who wish to attend AHCJ’s annual conference. Fellowships are open to full-time Rhode Island print, broadcast and online journalists and part-timers or freelancers who derive the majority of their income from journalism.

Fellowship includes:

  • Conference registration
  • One year’s membership in AHCJ (new or extended)
  • Up to four nights hotel (Tuesday to Friday nights, leaving Saturday)
  • Travel assistance within the continental U.S.
    • We budget approximately $500 for an economy flight and ground transportation. If selected as a fellow and $500 is not sufficient to travel to Minneapolis, please contact Susan Cunningham, AHCJ’s event manager, at susan@healthjournalism.org prior to booking.

Applications accepted on a rolling basis.
