The Kaiser Family Foundation Foundation is hosting a webinar for journalists to look at how the law affects women’s access to health coverage and care.

Women’s Health Under the Affordable Care Act” will be Feb. 6, 12:30-1:30 p.m. ET.

Now that the ACA’s coverage expansions are in effect, the Foundation’s latest webinar takes a look at how the law affects women’s access to health coverage and care. The Kaiser Family Foundation’s Alina Salganicoff, Vice President and Director of Women’s Health Policy, and Laurie Sobel, Senior Policy Analyst, will give a brief presentation on how the ACA expands access to coverage and preventive care for women, and how these elements of the law are being implemented. The webinar will also review current legal issues related to the contraceptive coverage requirement as well as state and federal policies affecting insurance coverage of abortion. Most of the webinar will be devoted to a question and answer session with journalists.

Resources for the webinar include Foundation briefs, “Health Reform: Implications for Women’s Access to Coverage and Care,” “Coverage for Abortion Services and the ACA” and “A Guide to the Supreme Court’s Review of the Contraceptive Coverage Requirement.”
