Maryland-based nonprofit A Wider Circle hosts The 2017 Forum on Ending Poverty: Creating Solutions and Positive Change with experts, nonprofit leaders and individuals seeking to get out of poverty.
Speakers include: D. Watkins, author of The Beast Side and The Cook Up; C. Nicole Mason, author of Born Bright: A Young Girl’s Journey from Nothing to Something in America. The event includes a poverty simulation activity for participants at the event, held at the National Press Club.
