The Summit is a first of a kind virtual event to address specifically health system strategies to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and to discuss the mid and long-term implication of the pandemic to the future of health care in America.

The Summit is supported by our Media Partners Harvard Health Policy Review and Health Affairs.

As you know the COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating impact on the nation’s health system.  Many front-line providers caring for COVID patients are exhausted or ill.  Most hospitals and health systems, especially rural institutions, have been finically disadvantaged by the cancellation of elective procedures and the burdens of caring for COVOD patients.  Many are furloughing employees.  Many medical practices have been forced to close their doors and are a risk for financial failure.  Some health plans have enjoyed short-term fiscal success because to the cancellation of elective procedures, but anticipate that these costs will hit hard as the pandemic eases.  Only virtual and telehealth providers have clearly be advantaged by the pandemic.

The Summit, with both plenary and concurrent session and a faculty of over 100 national experts, will bring together the nation’s health system and health policy leaders in a national virtual dialogue on pandemic recovery and the future of health care in America.
