The United States Food and Drug Administration is working with the National Science Foundation and other government agencies to present the 2010 Food Safety Education Conference, a four-day event aimed at educating the public about foodborne illness and safe food-handling behaviors.
Topics will include foodborne illness surveillance and epidemiology, behavioral and attitudinal research, social marketing advances, outreach to the medical community, and food service and retail initiatives. The hosts are encouraging everyone from educators and providers to sanitarians, consumer representatives and health writers/journalists to attend. For more information, visit the conference's website.
