This half-day event, sponsored by University of Tennessee, aims to examine “the current state of LGBTQ health in Appalachia and highlight efforts to protect LGBTQ civil rights and promote health equity,” including solutions to boost health and wellness. The LGBTQ Health Equity in Appalachia: An Interdisciplinary Symposium features a panel discussion as well as a keynote address by Dr. Henry Ng of MetroHealth Medical Center.
