BACKGROUND:
In 2008, the Health Story Project joined forces with Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise USA (IHE USA) and the Office of the National Coordinator’s Standards & Interoperability Framework to harmonize their work to produce the Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) cited in Meaningful Use Stage 2. C-CDA is now the core of the United States’ national agenda for interoperability.
