The Healthcare Colloquium Conference Series addresses issues of health care policy and practice through executive courses offered at major academic institutions. The 2007 Colloquium will address patient safety, health care reliability, teams and team training, medical education, and medical errors reduction. The program will focus on interactive sessions using experiential tools to maximize learning from speakers and other participants.

The Colloquium faculty of national and international experts will dig deeper into the underlying causes of these problems and articulate possible proven solutions. This special edition of the Healthcare Colloquium Series provides a strategic road map for healthc are purchasers, plans and providers in their efforts to enhance patient safety, reduce medical errors, and improve health care quality. The program in 2007 will focus on interactive presentations that enable the participants to learn while being engaged by other learners.

Many hospitals, clinics, health plans, and others have launched a variety of initiatives to reduce medical errors and improve safety. Many such initiatives have enjoyed substantial success in reducing risks and enhancing the safety of patient care in these organizations. The Colloquium will feature case studies in successful efforts in safety improvement and will focus on presentations from organizations and individuals that have succeeded in reducing or eliminating risks to patients and improving the safety of their care.

The Colloquium takes place on the campus of Harvard University.
