Reducing poverty panel discussion

The Urban Institute holds a luncheon panel to discuss “Reducing Poverty and Increasing Opportunity: Envisioning the Next 20 Years.”  

The speakers are Uma Ahluwalia, who head the Department of Health and Human Services in Montgomery County, Maryland; Sisifo Taatiti, who manages Utah’s TANF program; and Urban Institute senior fellow Heather Hahn, who focuses on labor, human services and population issues. Panelists will discuss the role of data as well as local, state, and national governments in addressing the causes of poverty and helping to reduce it.

The event begins at noon at the Urban Institute in Washington, D.C. Registration is required.
