The American Planning Association’s National Planning Conference includes a major focus on health. The Planning Healthy Communities Symposium will highlight how planners are public health professionals. Rear Admiral Boris Lushniak, acting U.S. Surgeon General, will kick off the conference with a keynote address.
Health Day will be at the core of the symposium, a one-day forum open to planners and non-planners alike, with sessions on how to use health data to make planning decisions, how to use parks and transportation to improve health, and ways that planning can promote health equity.
APA will be broadcasting Health Day live from the convention center and you can keep up with APA’s Atlanta conference blog.
